L.A. Colors Elizabeth Palette Review & Polyvore

Photobucket

L.A. Colors Elizabeth Palette
Shades of Blue

Bring out the starlet in you! These glittering eyeshadows are sure to make you glam! Each set comes in 10 coordinating colors, complete with mirror and 2 dual ended applicators.

$ 2.50

I bought this palette at Cherry Culture. It's a really cool website. There is a lot of discount prices and shipping is fast. You should definitely check it out.

I know that most palettes usually have a name for each shade of color, but this one doesn't. I don't really know why.

The packaging is great. It snaps close tightly and it doesn't open easily even if you drop it. Trust me, I've tried it.

There is a tiny mirror in the middle of the palette, but it's not exactly useful. It's very hard to see your eyelids during application so I suggest that you use a bigger mirror when using this. Or you can also bring a compact mirror when traveling.

The dual ended applicators are very practical if you are on the road. You don't need to bring an eye shadow brush. But if you are using it at home, it is better to use your own makeup brushes, makes application and blending faster.

Photobucket

Here is a swatch of ALL of the colors.

It has no smell whatsoever, which is a plus. I always prefer unscented eyeshadows.

The glitters adds a "glam" feel to the colors. When you are applying it, some glitters will fall on your face and it is quite noticeable. I leave it on and blend it because I like how it looks. It's sparkly and it serves as a highlight/shimmer at the same time. If you don't like the shimmer on your upper cheeks, it's nothing a quick swipe of Kleenex won't fix.

This palette is very budget friendly for students.

It is also a great gift ides for friends and families that are starting with makeup.

Prom season is coming up, so this is going to be of great use for me. I'm going to be helping out my sister and friends on their hair and make-up.

I'm so excited to create different looks with this palette.

LA Colors Blue Palette inspired

Since the Elizabeth palette consists of blue shades, you can style it up with blue colored clothes.

I made a Polyvore for inspiration, JUST FOR YOU GUYS!

You can dress formal with a striking ruffled top, white jeans, and a pair of blue glittered pumps.

Go for casual with a a blue long sleeved shirt, dark wash jeans and a pair of baby blue Nikes!

Just create a smoky eye look with this palette, add some lipgloss, and YOU ARE GOOD TO GO!

Remember, you can mix and match anything you have in your closet. JUST MAKE IT YOUR OWN!

Beauty Watch: Big Bangs

A person's hair says A LOT about them.
Whether it be long, medium, short,
straight, wavy, or curly, it shows a lot
about their personality.

I have long, thick, dark brown hair.
Its natural texture varies. Sometimes it's stick straight,
and other times it's extremely wavy.

Photobucket

I have short side bangs.
I've always wanted to try big straight bangs,
but I'm scared that it won't look good on me.
But the good thing about this is that you can style it anyway you want.

Getting bangs is such an easy way to change your look.
Here are some celebs who are rocking the BIG BANGS trend.

1. Tyra Banks

2. Mischa Barton

3. Selena Gomez

4. Rachel Bilson

5. Kim Kardashian

6. Taylor Swift

I think they all look gorgeous! Especially Taylor Swift. She looks way better with this hairstyle.

What is your natural hair like? Would you try rocking BIG BANGS?

Polyvore: Denim Control - Blue Collar

The "Denim" trend is back!
Everything denim is what it's about this season.

Lately, I've been into wearing denim-inspired clothes.
I love to dress them up and down, depending on my mood.

Photobucket

These denim oxford shirts are "in" right now.
Everyone is wearing them.
I own about 2 of them and I wear them all the time.

I made a polyvore so I can show you guys different ways to rock these denim collared shirts. :)

1. "Rocker-Chic"

Denim!

Rock a jean-on-jean look with this ensemble. It's totally in.
You can pair your Denim shirt with different studded accessories to add a rock-ish feel to the outfit.
Finish it off with black lace-up boots and a black messenger bag.
You are ready to rock and roll all night!

2. "A play of Colors"

Red. Red. Red.

You can play a pop of color with this outfit.
Pair your Denim shirt with a pair of white pleated shorts and a brown braided belt.
Pair it with red toms (or any kind of bright shoes you have) and a red messenger bag.
Accessorize it with a straw fedora hat and fun colored bangles.
Now you are dressed to shop til you drop.

3. "Fun and Flirty"

Fun&Flirty

Be your fun and girly self with this combination.
Wear your Denim shirt as a blazer over a floral maxi dress.
Pair it with cute studded brown sandals and a matching brown bag.
Don't forget to add a couple of bangles.
You are set for a stroll on the boardwalk.

Which outfit combination did you like the best? How would you rock a Denim look?

CSN: Pleaser Pumps in Black Lace Review

Photobucket
I've never had high heels before so I decided to purchase my very first pumps.
It was a perfect time to do so because I had a school dance coming up. So I said what the hey, It wouldn't hurt right?! :]

Photobucket

Pleaser Lace Pumps

I bought this at http://www.shoesgotsole.com/ I was super excited when I saw the UPS guy at my doorstep. I knew it was my package and I just could not wait to open it.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! It came in the mail in less than 3 days. How exciting!

Photobucket

NICELY PACKED. I love how EACH SHOE HAS ITS OWN PLASTIC.

Photobucket

I loved it the first time I saw it. It is the PERFECT HEELS FOR BEGINNERS.  RETAILS FOR $40.00.

Photobucket

4" INCH HEELS : At first, I was kind of reluctant to wear it since it was really high. But the first time I tried it on, it didn't even feel like I was wearing high heels.
SUPER COMFORTABLE. EASY TO WALK IN.

Photobucket

Cons of it would be:
The STITCHINGS WERE NOT INTACT. The heel on the left shoe is slightly slanted. (as you can see
in the picture above.)

Photobucket

LACE texture. FLORAL patterns.

Photobucket

Overall, I was really happy with this purchase.
I wasn't sure how it's going to turn out since it is from an online store,(and we all know how they usually are) but they are my NEW FAVORITE SHOES!
Would I purchase another pair of pumps from CSN? OF COURSE! I've been buying shoes from them for a while now and I've been really happy with their customer service.

Do you remember the first time you bought your first pumps? What kind were they?

Stiletto, I look at it more as an attitude as opposed to a high-heeled shoe.
